Our Stay Story at Holiday Inn, A Family Resort in Nusa Dua Bali

Our family has taken summer break trips to Bali for the past few years. Since our initial visit to the island with our children in 2017, we have made it there at least once a year, and we’ve stayed at family resorts in Nusa Dua, Seminyak, Kuta, and other areas in Bali. It’s become, in many ways, our family’s summer break residence, and our kids eagerly anticipate the trip each year.

This year, we’re staying at the Holiday Inn Nusa Dua. A nice family resort in the Benoa Bay, a bit secluded from the hustles and bustles of Bali. The resort has been a great option for families looking for inexpensive Bali holiday places because children under the age of 18 stay and eat free. It was significantly more affordable to book a stay with an IHG credit card using a mix of points and free nights. This all-inclusive resort offers a fantastic return on investment and is only 15 minutes from the airport.

First Impression at Holiday Inn Bali Benoa

Holiday Inn All-Inclusive Resort, Bali Benoa is about what you’d anticipate from the name as Holiday Inns aren’t often regarded for being luxurious. The rooms are rather tidy and in fair (but not outstanding) condition considering that it is a three-star establishment. However, we prefer this over other family resorts in Nusa Dua because they promised to treat kids as VIP in their property! How nice of them.

Upon check in, our four-year-old and six-year-old kids was given their own welcoming drink. A little milk carton. They also received their own activity pack—a simple activity book and coloring pencils. We are staying at a family suite, so the kids can have their own room and we, parent, can sleep in separate room. It’s the best arrangement. The kids love their room, too, as it is decorated with cute marine animals and they slept in a cute bunk bed. We think that this family resort is the coolest in Nusa Dua, so do check them out!

While you’re there, you’ll notice employees maintaining gardens, sweeping walkways, painting, and cleaning all over the place. The beaches are lovely, and the grounds are well-kept.

A True Family Resort in Nusa Dua Bali

The fact that this resort is so kid-friendly, especially with regard to their beach and pools, is one thing we truly admire about it.

For instance, the main beach is situated across from a little, private island that fully prevents any waves from entering. As a result, the water directly off the shore resembles a warm, waveless bathtub in the Caribbean. My kids adore it, and the lack of waves makes it simple for them to navigate and go shell-hunting and looking for hermit crabs.

Additionally, the water off of this beach is very shallow, making it safer for children. For those who want to swim, however, the adult beach at the opposite end of the resort contains some deeper waters.

This resort has a lot to offer in terms of pools. The main beach and private island are just steps away from the main pool. This location also houses the primary entertainment stage for the resort, thus it is constantly bustling with activity.

There is a separate, adults-only pool with a swim-up bar on the resort’s adult side. In my view, you should search elsewhere if you’re looking for an adults-only establishment. Although I’m grateful that there is an adults-only area where I can go to escape, even for a short while, Jamaica has several adults-only options that would be more appropriate for an adults-only vacation. Families are more likely to visit this location.

Kids Club and Kids Activity in Holiday Inn Nusa Dua

As one of the most reliable family resorts in Nusa Dua, you can find numerous kid-friendly activities available at the resort, including a kids club. Every day from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and again from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., the club is open for no charge. You can drop the kids off for a brief period of time each morning so that you can hit the gym, swim at the adult pool, or just having a quiet me time in the beach.

Our children absolutely adore participating in all the events on the main stage now that they are a little older. The resort’s entertainment staff hosts a variety of games and activities throughout the day for both children and adults. We enjoyed joining their Canang Sari making class and cooking class with our children, and learn bits about Bali along the way.

Bottom Line…

We absolutely love everything the Holiday Inn Nusa Dua has to offer. It is not exactly the most luxurious, all inclusive five star resort but it’s among the best family resorts in Nusa Dua, if not the whole Bali, especially if you are travelling with young children.
