Can You Still Travel During Coronavirus Outbreak? 

Covid19 has been spreading almost all over the world. Many countries with infected citizens are in isolation due to the Coronavirus outbreak. This disease has been claimed as global pandemic. Many countries have banned many international flights to avoid spreading the virus even more. However, the majority of countries around the world still allow international trip. Is it safe for you to travel internationally during this Coronavirus outbreak?

Before deciding to travel, it is important to look for more information about your destinations. Some countries are affected worst than the others. If you insist on entering those places, you are entering infection zone and there is higher risk of you getting infected during or after the trip. Travelling to places where lots of Covid19 has been reported puts you more at risk of getting sick. Wuhan is the first place where the virus spreads. The infection is getting slower in China but in other places especially Europe and United States, it’s getting worse because more people are affected.

In some parts of Asia, travelers may face screening on arrival. Many countries also have imposed restrictions on people who have recently been in affected countries especially China. Therefore, you may face necessary procedures if you travel to some countries. In South Korea, the virus is spreading pretty fast with Daegu as its first affected area. If you are currently on vacation and visit various countries, you will be investigated more about the places you have been visiting. If you show some symptoms of Covid19 infection, you may be required to get tested and quarantined if positive. 

Good hygiene

It is strongly recommended to practice good hygiene no matter where your travel destination is. Washing hand is especially important to do. You have to do it 12 to 16 times a day to avoid any virus infection. While you are on the road, you are more vulnerable not only to Coronavirus but also others since you are exposed to wide ranges of bugs, parasites, etc. Therefore, preventing yourself from getting sick is essential so that you can avoid getting infected by any virus. 

Limit your travel

During this Coronavirus outbreak, you can still travel to the majority of countries in Europe but Italy since it is currently experiencing the outbreak very bad. The problem of this novel virus spread is that there is no cure or treatment found yet. Therefore, it is hard to contain the spread. It is better to prevent and minimize the risk by limiting your travel. If you have a plan for vacation abroad, it is recommended to reschedule and wait to see the progress of this situation.

Always check the CDC

It is highly suggested that you check out the places where the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention warns against travel. Avoid travel to those areas that have been warned especially when you are not in a very good condition. You will be put at higher risk if you travel with underlying health conditions. It’s better to make some necessary adjustments for your travel plan now.
